FLCAN Initiates Modern Rights Restoration

An estimated 1.5 million Florida citizens, or 10.42% of the state’s voting-age population, are disenfranchised because of a criminal conviction.Rights restoration means more than the right to vote, though voting is critical to changing cannabis laws. Felons are disenfranchised from certain jobs; can’t hold professional licenses in dozens of fields; cannot own a firearm and may have trouble finding housing.
